RESUBMISSION: Stranger Things, Self Tape

After getting feedback from the group, I decided to resubmit another monologue.

For this resubmission, I decided to perform Robin's monologue from Stranger Things, Season 3 Episode 7, 'The Bite'.

Stranger Things is set in 1980's America, focussing on a group of teenagers, one of which has supernatural powers. Robin was a new character introduced for season three, and in this episode and in the monologue I chose, she is telling her co-worker, Steve, that she is gay.

The reason I did a resubmission, was because I felt like mine wasn't as good as everybody else's. It also was quite obvious that mine wasn't done in the correct setting, and that it was too long. So I found Robin's monologue which is far shorter, but still has the emotion and the age range. I also found that my eyeline was completely all over the place, and so I found Robin's monologue much easier to focus on.

I found this monologue really powerful and it never fails to make me emotional whenever I watch the show. I really enjoyed making this video, far more than I enjoyed the previous. I tried to get the costume down - she's wearing a red, white and blue shirt in the show, and so I wore one of mine. Although Robin is American, I think it still worked really well in the English accent.
